The "Let's Dance Club" dance on Friday (01-08-10) has been cancelled due to ungodly frigid weather.

Ballroom social dance party with Ed and Carol on Friday January 22, 2010 from 8 to 11 pm :Dance to Ed's wonderful traditional music plus some great new selections. These dances feature a lot of foxtrot, waltz, and swing plus some rumba, cha cha, tango, quickstep, samba, night-club 2-step, polka, or you can do your own thing'. No partner or prior experience needed and enjoy a fun mixer. This month, Ed and Carol will teach basic night club 2-step. Only $10 per person (This includes soda, wine, water, and delicious finger food throughout the entire evening)

What's the "The Let's Dance Club"? ...The Let's Dance Club members meet at the Capital Ritz on the second Friday of each month from September through May. This Club dances to live big band music from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. The membership dues are $50 per person per dance year if paid by September 1 of each year. ($55.00 per person thereafter). Dress code is semi-formal/formal.  If you enjoy listening to or dancing to the big band sound and meeting new people, the Club would love to have you join. More Zumba classes every week starting in January 2010!  Starting in January 2010 Zumba will also be offered on Wednesdays!  Zumba is a danceaerobics class consisting of  Latin dance moves such as Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, and Latin Hip hop.  "Ditch the workout & join the party!"--Zumba, Inc.  So true!

Open up your Fridays in 2010 because:  CRAIG THURMAN, professional competitive dance instructor,  is instructing here at the Capital Ritz on Wednesdays and Fridays!!!  Craig is one of the U.S. leading instructors in technique, theory, and body movement.  Students beginning to advanced from around the country request him for group and private lessons, with many of his students receiving First Place Awards, scholarship competitions, and recognized as Top Bronze, Top Silver, and Top Gold.  Group lessons  running every week on Fridays at 6pm. It's on-going, just show up.  Call 893-7787 for questions or to schedule private lessons.
